I wanted to find a quick and cheap mod, I saw this and just figured what the hell it's only $24. After doing it I'm impressed with the light output, it's almost too bright! Nice part is the color of the light is white so it matches the DRLs better. If you have the LED side markers it also matches the brightness.

It's a direct plug and play and takes maybe 30s to swap out. You need your finger and a flat screwdriver to unhook the harness. The wire is pretty short so you don't have a ton of room but it's not too difficult.

Never noticed a real difference in the color of the factory LED vs the DRLs. Definitely brighter with the Morimoto, down to having multiple LEDs vs the 1 it looks like in the factory. How did this impact the backup camera at night? That to me is where it might help out the most, but our camera sucks so bad that I'm worried a lot more light at night will make the image even more grainy. Can you grab some pics of it?

I'll grab some pictures once the weather gets a bit better. Stupid snow.

I don't have any reverse camera photos of the stock light but here are the Morimoto ones.

Oh a couple of things to note. There were no lights on behind the car in these photos, including the garage light. I specifically ran and turned that off. I also have dark tinted reverse lights from Luxe. It's plenty bright to reverse even with our camera being awful.

That's bright!

I had an LED bulb in my plate light on my '13 and liked it. Wasn't a Morimoto but good just the same.

On an LED related subject, how does one get the glovebox light holder out to swap to LED?

I have a replacement bulb for the glovebox but man... the bulb is too slick to grab and pull out. And it appears as if the bulb housing is removable to change bulb but I haven't figured it out yet?

Ugh these dumb forums keep logging me out. This place sorely needs to be updated.

Anyway, I just grabbed and pulled but I was wearing nitrile gloves. If you're struggling try getting a pair of needle nose pliers and put a microfiber around them and tug that way.

Honestly? Yes. The screen was bright enough but there have been a couple of times I couldn't see **** backing in to my driveway. Now it's lit up pretty well. I'm happy, it's cheap if you're in the US. $25 is a win to me.
