SRT seats are leather,Daytona and R&T seats are vinyl.

 

Well they are mostly vinyl actually pleather. (Faux leather) but they have leather on the outer seat areas prone to the most use (seat and seat back bolster where you lean to slide in and out of car)

Where the srt are all leather in those areas.

 

Eric is correct...no leather in the Daytona or R&T option....but I if you are looking to swap seats I would get the non-leather.....they look like leather but dont crack like leather...and feel softer than the leather seats......my Brother's 2006 Charger R&T seats look new though he has 140,000 miles on his car............

What about the foam used in them? Same or different?

Thinking about picking up a complete set of Daytona seats, and then later, if need be, swapping out the foams for SRT foams (front and rear) and new seat covers... Would this even be doable?

Not sure if they are still selling them or not,, but 402 used to have a SRT Seat bolster kit, with custom Katzkin covers. I was going to go that route with my Mag RT, but ended up with a hell of a deal on the SRT Seats.

 

My Sublime Daytona seats came made with Unicorn Ass Leather, not sure why???? Factory Option????

yeah and as I recall I made a comment about them looking different than mine.. remember the 2 outer edges of mine were soft leather and had those 2 long cracks in them?

and we compared them to yours and yours had a different texture and feel to them.

 

Little known secret... foams are different too. I know, I know... they look the same however the SRT upper bolsters (the small ones that cup your shoulders) are beefier and curve inward more cradling your shoulders better. The foams are NOT the same in the SRT & Daytonas.

 

I have a go mango sitting in the front yard.....and those seats are 100% vinyl.

 

I dunno.. I got them from PAP in early 2006 (may or june). Fnkycld and I compared ours right before I sold the car and mine for sure had leather on the outer bolsters..

not on the inner, not in the seating area in front of the suedish stuff, and no were else, but definitely on the outer bolsters. it was soft, worn and cracked..

My buddies 06 Daytona has leather seats and i think a suede insert in the center
And my 08 R/T is 100% Leather

 

not gonna argue this.....you guys believe what you want, go compare them to a SRT seat and I promise you will be disappointed.

 

This is interesting info. But I am afraid to ask what my seats are made out of on my regular 09 r/t. Lol

 

i have an 07 daytona, and while the seats may look leather they may not be. i have no way of telling for sure but hemi31 is pretty spot on. my seats do however have color matched stitching (plum crazy) as well as the daytona lettering in the head rest, also in plum crazy stitching. dont know what color if any the stitching is on the srt seats but its something to think about when getting the seats, depends on which color daytona they come from.
