Is there a way to reset the airbag light? Already tried unplugging battery with no luck.

My friend swapped in srt flat bottom with matching airbag but now the light is on. I’m trying to ignore it but it’s bothering me. :blam:

Clockspring inside the wheel isn't connected? Or, the airbag itself is faulty? Or it's connected but a pin wasn't straight or broken and not noticed until now?

Gonna assume you got the wheel from a salvage yard? Maybe... the car it came from was involved in an accident that SHOULD have deployed the airbag, but didn't and it's waiting to blow!?

I can't be sure about any of that.

But I wonder too if you couldn't try connecting you old wheel again and seeing if the light clears?

Yeah, PITA that you'd have to remove the "new" wheel, but I'd wanna be sure it was the wheel and not the system?

Disconnect the 12v (leave the trunk open, dur) , remove the airbag and inspect the locking tabs for the airbag. All you need is a 10 mm for the negative battery post, and a pocket screwdriver or two to remove the bag. If your buddy did all the work and you don't feel confident doing it yourself then tell your friend just to pull the bag off for an inspection. Should onlyn take a few minutes to get that battery disconnected and remove the bag.

I swapped to a custom carbon flat bottom wheel. All it was, was a loose locking tab. Those tabs are actually really important for the airbag circuit and features to properly work.

Maybe a tab or leg broke off one of them during removal?

Maybe a tab is loose?

Maybe a tab is installed incorrectly?

Maybe the wiring harness is pinched between the steering wheel and column?

Could be really easy to pull the bag off and do a quick inspection.
