ALL COMPONENTS SOLD AS OF THIS MORNING.
As many of you are coming to realize, the Dodge engineers are pretty good, ot at least I think so - or else I wouldn't own two Intrepids and a Magnum. When Dodge set out to build a hot-rod LX platform with a 6.1 liter Hemi engine they upgraded most of the car's components to match - including the exhaust system. You might want to look at http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=35715 for information on the effectiveness of stock SRT8 components on either the 6.1 or 5.7 liter engines.
I have for sale a pair of factory stock SRT8 headers and catalytic converters. I bought an entire SRT8 exhaust but was pleased to find that I only needed to use the resonators to quiet the current exhaust system down. I was working with a car I had bought on which the prior owner had installed a Borla system with long tube headers, straight through mufflers and straight pipes - no resonators - in back of the mufflers. Too loud for me.
Price is $200 for the headers, which look to be mint, $150 for the catalytic converters, also mint, or $300 for all. If you want the stock suitcase muffler and mid-pipe, add $50. These prices include shipping east of the Mississippi. If you are west of the Mississippi, please add for shipping $10 for just the headers or $20 for the headers plus converters (and muffler).
These are pretty bulky and heavy items, so the prices including shipping seem reasonable to me. If you want to pick the parts up in Framingham, Massachusetts the prices would be $150 for the two headers, $100 for the two converters, and $25 for the muffler and mid-pipe.
If you want a very low restriction and aggressive sounding - but not crazy loud - system with excellent flow characteristics, you could buy all of these SRT8 components (headers, cats, mid-pipe and muffler) and use 2.5": straight pipes in back of the muffler.
