i have power steering fluid leaking from the bottom of the lines near the rack area. it only leaks while the car is running. does this mean I need a new hose or something else?

Clean the area where it is leaking, start the car and watch to see exactly where it is leaking and then let us know exactly where and what is leaking.
Its probably your power steering pressure hose. It leaks from the crimped area where the rubber is joined with the metal. I replaced mines last year and still wasnt exactly satisfied with the new OEM Mopar one. It runs from the power steering pump down to the rack and is fairly easy to change. I was able to get it into my buddies shop yesterday. it is the return line. now waiting for the new line to come in.
