Lamin-x tints

I decided to give these a try as I wasn't keen on doing anything permanent like painting. I don't see many pics around so thought these could be useful to someone.

Still deciding if I will keep them but anyway, this is the lightest tint Lamin-x does (other than clear, of course) and I've done the tails plus side markers. I was going for an OEM look so didn't want them blacked out.

I have the headlight film too but since those are already darker I've not done it yet (and also those are the most fiddly so need time to do).

Looks great! Now you need to do the windows... :) Where did you get the film? Did you DIY or have a shop do it? I am looking to get this done soon myself...

Haha yeah I do want to get the windows done...I was only holding off because I was contemplating a Hellcat swap so didn't want to spend ~$500 on tints. These cost me a total of $85 including the headlight so didn't care so much.

I just ordered the film from Lamin-x directly, www.lamin-x.com I think? Fitted it myself, not too hard especially if you have fitted film like this before, only tips would be:
1) Cut off the tabs before you apply, it's far easier and safer to get a neat cut with scissors rather than attempting to take a knife to your car. You can use your fingers to handle the film, you just need to keep them wet so you don't get fingerprints on the film.
2) The side markers to be honest don't fit very well. They are off by a few mm in many places which means you could end up with film overlap, which in turn will just make it susceptible to coming off later. Along with the tab trimming, I just kept holding it up to see the shape and using scissors to trim bits off (this will take some time).

P.s. this level of tint is - bizarrely - called 'tint' if you are looking for it on the site.
