And I replaced my KEY FOB batteries. I still cant get the mag to crank.

is there a way i can reset my Sentry key anti theft system now that i have new batteries?? Or do i need to tow my car in to the dealer?

Please help!

batterys wont help this-
looks like its a trip to the dealer to replace skreem.
the only thing you can do is put the key in the ign and turn to on and tell me what the security light does in the dash cluster. flash? stay lit up solid? lights up than goes out

This problem struck our 2005 Magnum RT. It left my wife stranded during her lunch hour from work. Had to have the car towed, left overnight and a $208 bill from the Dodge dealer to re-program the module.

The dealer could give no explanation of why it happened or how to prevent it.

What causes this to happen?

I'll assume that we now have the newest software from the re-program. The repair notes do say, "At this time seems to be repaired but if happens again will need to replace module."

Is replacing the module something that should be done as preventive maintenance? I would happily fix it now, permanently, than worry every time I turn the key that today is the day the engine won't start.

Hello Guys,
Thanks a million worked like a charm.
2006 Dodge Charger, This morning started like normal for about 5 seconds, then died, repeted 5 times, then nothing, no click no start nothing. Thank goodness I still have my day car, (2003 ION beater with 317,000 KM) Drove to work and back today - no troubles.
Disconnected battery 10 min as recommended, reconnect. All reset worked like a charm.
Thanks again, us real mechanics have to stick together, all these computer and secuity stuff are nuts, just so the dealers can rip off old ladies and everyone else who is fooled into believing.
2006 Charger RT, Zoomers and superchips.
P.S. I have never gone back to the dealer for service, bought it used at 10,000 Km now has 99,000 KM - First problem with it.
