Are you happy with the results now that you've lived with it for a while? Would you change anything if you had to do it all over again? What lessons have you learned?

I'm getting ready to add some drop springs to my ride, but haven't decided on a brand yet, so looking for feedback from those that have gone before me. (And yes, I've searched and read LOTS of threads!)

Suggestions? Advice? Thoughts? Regrets?

I used Hotchkis (did I spell that right/) springs on my former 2007 Charger SRT and said if I had to do over I would have used coil overs.....now here I am again with lowering springs....I used Mopar instead of Hotchkis this time. The 07 dropped about 1.1" in the rear and .6" in the front. Looked great but road like a log wagon and would bottom out hard on bumps.

My current ride, 2013 Challenger SRT, dropped about .75" on all 4 corners. Looks good but I would have liked a full inch all the way around. The ride however is fine. Only slightly stiffer than stock and no bottom out on bumps. Overall I am pleased with it. Springs were just $230 from my dealer..

Don't own a challanger but I put BCCoilovers on my 300. Most people that I talked to before I did mine told me that if they could it again they would go with coilovers instead of just springs. I love my ride can adjust the damper in just a few quick minutes.

I have an 08 and wouldn't lower it. I still scrape as it is, it would just get worse going lower. Going to have to replace the front fascia at some point. The front spoiler and lower pan won't even connect anymore.

If the 2010 RT stance is higher than the SRT, try SRT springs, or If you want a lowered look, try 22" wheels to fill in the wells.

I just lowered mine. Eibach Pro springs and dampers on front and rear. Totally happy. I did the install myself (earlier thread) in one afternoon. Performance wise I can tell some difference but not an overwhelming amount. Corners a little flatter and has less body roll as you would expect. The ride is a little more firm but not dramatic. If you have some mechanical ability its not all that hard really. Have some info and pictures on my website.

I lowered mine using SRT stuff. Lowered it just a little bit and ride's fine. If I did it again, I would have gone lower. However, after having a magnum the was on Eibach's, I had to rebuld the whole fron suspension after 45k miles, I may rethink that as well.

I used the Eibach Pro System (springs, struts, and sway bars) on both my '09 R/T and my '10 R/T.
The amount of drop was perfect (low enough to close the gap in the wheel well, but not too low making it hard to live with).
The car cornered better and the ride was only a little more firm.
Very happy with this setup.

I had Eibach Sportlines on my 300C and it was ridiculous! Way to low for a daily driver. Got hung up on speed bumps and the car rode like a tank....even after installing Eibach dampers.

With my Challenger RT I went with Mopar stage 1 springs and couldn't be happier. Lowered about 1.4" to get rid of that 4x4 look but can still clear speed bumps, parking curbs and even automatic car wash rails. Handles better without compromising comfort as well. I would say the perfect springs.

I used to have Eibach Sportlines on my R/T and while it looked GREAT, the ride was very harsh. I swapped to coil overs and won't use anything else. I'm at about 1.75" drop with my 22s and the stance is great as well as riding better than stock. I don't know what kind of budget you're working with, but for $899 we can get you a set of ST coil overs right away! Here's how my car sits now:

Might also consider installing adjustable upper control arms at the same time. I went to the alignment shop today after lowering mine (Eibach springs and dampers). The passenger side camber was just barely out of parameter. Drivers side was in range but just barely. Both are canted inward, common on lowering. Alignment guy said it was really close. I want it to be dead on so I just ordered the Eibach adjustable upper control arms (Eibach 5.66030K).

Kinda of wish I would have ordered and installed them when I had everything else apart :)

At this point, I'm thinking that coilovers are the way to go, but do you still need to add an alignment kit? Or can you just install, adjust the height, and go?

I understand that part. But I'm curious as to whether or not I'll need to buy things like a camber kit if I install coilovers. It seems that when you don't do coilovers, but put lowering springs and dampers on your car instead, you need to add camber kits, control arms, etc. Is that the same as if you put coilovers on, or does taking the coilover route eliminate the need for those extra parts? Getting an alignment I totally understand.
