Layed on a piece of cardboard under the car while its on ramps and changed the oil!! Its not so bad once youre in the cold long enough your frostbite gets frostbite then your face gets that warm feeling. Actually its really not that bad the heat from the motor helps.

Adjusted the hi-flow CATs to CAT back junction at -29C last week. In comparsion...an oil change would feel good I suspect :^)

Not by choice I assure you. -29C = -20F.

Reminds of changing out the starter on my 69' 442 on a snowy (-33C night), or building a SB Chevy in an unheated garage (-25C), or (ouch) having a battery blow up in my face when my friend hooked up his end incorrectly (-30). The seventies...those were the young and stupid days.

Dayam! Did you have to spoon the oil out of the oil pan? And I complain about my semi-heated garage not being warm enough. :racing:

Last weekend I did an oil change in my unheated shop @ -15F & this weekend was -5F so I gave it a bucket wash. I was able to heat up the attatched garage to 42F for the wash job, the hatch was really disgusting.

My local dealership will change mine for 20 bucks so i just take it there. Figure its not worth crawling under and getting dirty and then having to recycle everything. Even the 10 dollar bump for synthetic is still worth it for me.

I did change my thermostat in the rain though.
