So I updated my SC Flashpaq to 1.18 and when I went out to the car and started to reprogram it and under the power levels I only have a choice of 87 tune and mileage XS or whatever they call it.

Is that new thing mileage XS supposed to replace the 91 tune? I sure hope not unless it doesn't cut any power but I don't see how it couldn't.

Did I just screw myself with this latest update?

89 I did my update a few weeks ago butonly until yesterday did I install it. I had all four options and I certainly popped in my 91 tune. Double check the firmware version straight from the flashpaq as soon as you connect. Other then that...I know the 1.18 has everything and some other stuff like MDS disable IIRC...

I have the other new stuff like fan control and MDS delete, but under power level it only provides 87 octane tune and mileage XS. The 91 octane tune option is gone.

I tried to update it again and I tired to load it in the car again. There is no longer a 91 octane tune. I have 87 tune, stock and mileage XS, that's it.

I'm pissed because I drove the car with the XS tune (didn't have much of a choice) and I don't think the car responds as well as before. Of course since it's a mileage tune it's no surprise.

Did you try to go back to the stock tune and then see if you can program with the 91?

Yeah, I loaded the stock tune back in, but I can't load the 91 tune because it doesn't exist anymore on the programmer. At that point I had the stock tune loaded and then only had a choice of 87 tune or mileage XS. I wish I hadn't loaded the stock tune because I'd still have the 91 loaded in the car at least, but since I loaded the stock tune thinking it might be the issue, I'm stuck with it or the other two crappy tunes now.

I loaded the mileage XS since it seemed like the best of the three, but I still can't figure out what happened to the 91 tune. It just vanished.

This sucks!

One thing though, I didn't load the stock tune back to the car before I updated it, but I don't see anything on Superchips website that says you need to do that.

Double check which version of the 1.18 software you loaded onto your flashpaq. There are three versions available, performance, performance with datalogging and with the mileage xs option. It sounds like you downloaded the MileageXS version instead of either the performance or performance with data logging.

Hmmm, when I updated it I don't recall having an option of what to load. Once I downloaded the update application and plugged in the Superchips to the USB port and logged on to the update, it just read my Superchips and updated it. It didn't ask me what I wanted other than the optional data logging and mileage XS. I choose to add those simply because they were there.

I didn't see any choice between performance tunes. If I try to update it again it just reads my programmer as says it's been updated already and gives me no options. I was at version 1.11 before the update but I can't see how that matters.

This is what I was talking about. Sorry if I wasn't very clear. When you download the 1.18 update, there are three choices to choose from. If you chose the MileageXS option, then I don't think you get the 91 perf tune. I chose the Performance tune with advanced datalogging and so I had the 91 tune, but not the MileageXS available to me when I plugged it into my car to flash it.
