Seems my transmission or somethin in them parts has let go or somthin! While taking my wife to work in lots of stop and go driving I notice that the car is making a "Whuz" sound, sort of like one of those New Year novelty horns. When I take off from a complete stop it makes several loud thud sounds and continues the "whuz" sound. When I pull into my driveway it starts to not want to move no matter how much foot I give it ... the car makes it about halfway into the driveway and won't go no more. The autostick function does not work, meaning it won't shift into 1,2,3,4, just stays in D ... now all gears are like neuteral excepts reverse which works.
I went back out to check on it and now it doesn't do any of what I've described above. I'm now can't decide if I should have the dealer come get it or chance the 10 mile drive there.
Help, suggestions, words of support?

I would make the dealer come and get it. It would suck for you to try and make it, and get stuck somewhere in traffic.

It's been towed.
The service guy at the dealership had me call DCX's roadside assistance and, "I thought oh no this is going to take forever", but they got a tow here within an hour an loaded it and towed it off.
The tow truck driver heard the noises and the thuds I was talking about and he said it sounds like a gear tooth on the rear-end is having issues. We'll see!
