Does anyone know what the record is for a stock internal/bottom end, unopened block 5.7?

I've heard of a few low to mid 11s, including mine, but what is the actual record? Where would I go to find this info?

I've never heard of a stock bottom end 5.7 in the 10s (in a factory gen3 car) and I will definitely be there next season with the addition of the driveline parts I just picked up for over winter (converter and rear upgrade).

Any insight would be great, thanks everyone.

I'm certain there's plenty in the 10's with a power adder. What's your best ET and current set up ALL mods? I have a stock 5.7 Popo Pursuit ran [email protected] @6400 DA zero power adder. I'm confident it'd run 10.xx at sea level with a 100-150 shot.

My current setup is in my signature. I've been around awhile and I've never heard of a stock bottom end 5.7 going 10s. Obviously it would need to be forced induction of some sort to be accomplished, but the fastest I've heard of is 11.2 - 11.3ish.

How much nitrous are you using?
Only a 175 currently. I've been having problems getting the car to hook up lately now that it's lost so much weight.

I'm doing a 392 getrag swap, might possibly swap 4.11s in before installing. As for stall I'm going with 3600-4000.
Hoosiers work fine for me.

Good deal. Nice to see it stay together at that. Ill probably need to hit mine with 200 when the time comes.
I've thrown 300 at it 20-30 passes. No issues, tune was on point. I'm trying to go faster with less spray now tho

That combo should net you 10.xx... I picked up .5 swapping from the stock stall and 2.65/26" to the 3800 stall and Getrag 3.92/28"... 60s went from a best of 1.9s to 1.68. Consistent low 1.7s... Track prep here is not always the best and hoping the lighter stickier Hoosiers will help.

My car 60fts 1.5/1.6 now with the factory 2.82 rear diff, so I'm hoping 3.92s or 4.11s will send me deep 1.3 60fts.
That change alone should put me into 10sec territory.

I know I'm a little late to the party here and it's not in a LX/LC car but I've been 10.7x @ 127 on a stock longblock with just boost. 4000 lb race weight and stick shifted. I wasn't very aggressive with the tune, could've gone quicker I'm sure. No reason one can't go 10s in a LX/LC car.

Can you fill us in about your build... Especially since you did a Gen 3 swap. What stand alone are you using and how user friendly is it? I've seen video of your Jeep in action very impressive! I recently watched a mildly cammed, stock bottom end with ring gaps opened, junkyard 06' 5.7 make 784hp on a dyno with only 12psi! That and Holley coming out with the Terminator X and X Max make it more tempting to use Gen 3s in other platforms. The only drawback being I don't believe the X units have fly by wire option.

It's running a Holley HP, I bought it as soon as the harness was available years ago and had to use the beta software with Hemi compatibility. On V4 now. It's drive by cable with a Ford 5.0 style throttle body that bolts on with a little ovaling of the mounting holes. Was my first experience with EFI ever and super user friendly. Haven't had any major issues and closed loop compensation has saved me thousands of dollars in hurt motors several times.

Very NICE!!! Thanks for the info. Can you explain the closed loop compensation? The 13' 5.7 I currently run in my Charger was going to go into my 67' Valiant, but it seemed too costly and complicated tuning until just recently. I'm now again considering it as an option.

Closed loop is where the Holley constantly monitors the wideband and makes fueling compensations to make it hit the air/fuel targets, regardless of what the fuel table says. It also has a learn function where it applies those corrections to your base fuel table over time if you so choose. If you have closed loop set up correctly it's relatively difficult to hurt any parts due to fueling.
