Lookin good! Will eventually paint the coolant tank when it runs again![]()
Might at the most use a medium temp engine paint but that's it, doesn't necessarily get engine hot but still pretty warm, it's all in the prep really, a good scotch brite sanding/finishing pad (which is what I used) works just fine for plastics. You can get the ones from just about any hardware store that mimic like steel wool. They come a few different "gauges", I have a fine, medium and extra coarse. I love them because they're like sandpaper but a lot more conformable, sand curves super easy, don't rust like steel wool and hold up super well for being fiber based (at least the 3m ones I have).Lookin good!
Will you be using any special paint for the coolant tank?
I have a spare one that I've been mulling about painting satin black
Be careful with those Gorillas, I had a set that started stripping the lock and rusted where the powder coat scraped off. The hand wrench works fine, but the throw an impact on there and you'll be replacing them after a few tire swaps/brake jobs.Changed oil and air filter. Also reshaped the underside of my bumper, as it's new but looks like it was hanging or something so the bottom bowed out a little. Just heated it up, pushed it up with a jack then let it cool into a flat shape underneath. Also finally replaced my lug nuts with Gorillas. The McGard locks have been a nightmare. Two came off regularly a while back, one had to be cut off at a later date, then a replacement ley ordered, that broke immediately yesterday on the first attempt so I had to do the 12pt method.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to do these by hand and by the book.Be careful with those Gorillas, I had a set that started stripping the lock and rusted where the powder coat scraped off. Were the chrome strips wrapped on the door panel, or did you have them removed to wrap them. One of mine is cracked, and looking at the backside of the door panel it looks like they are plastic welded on and would be a pain in the a$$ to remove.Did a refresh on my door panels. Had the chrome strips and chrome door openers and the set of wood grain door pulls I had all wrapped in real blue reflective carbon fiber to match my steering wheel.
Wow, can you imagine what you would have got with their budget wash!:banghead:Got mine washed with the top option wash. Got home and found that it got the roof and doors clean. So I washed the rest of it again by hand.
