Well, this wasn't all done today, but it finally came together. I "re-did" my engine cover... again... this time shooting it in "matte" finish pewter, and re-shot the airbox and fuse cover in a high gloss black. The last two will need to be colour sanded in about a month, then polished to look their best.
I still haven't decided what to do with the center section, I'm trying to create something unique... we'll see. The opening just to the left of the throttle body, on the cover, is there to allow hot air to vent. When I molded the cover during it's last phase, I closed off the little vents and the heat trapped under there caused the cover to expand and contract, cracking the paint. I'm going to be installing a mesh or grate to clean the look up a bit.
