Weight reduction

Who takes their seats and stuff out before you race? How much weight is that reducing if I take my front seat and back seats out? I've always just raced with full interior but now it looks like its time to pull out all the tricks w/everyone being so fast. What you you guys take out?

Do you have a regular R/T or the R/T w/R/T I heard the R/T-R/T seats are heavier

With the 300, front /rear seats, package tray, spare tire were typically worth 150lbs

With the Mag, I dropped 200+lbs with the same plus the extra package tray/subwoofer/skinnies.

I was just thinking about takin my seats out and putting front runners on it.. what do you think thats worth? See how i have those heavy ass 20" wheels onthe front anyways.

The front runners are an easy .1 by themselves..... I need to document via an A/B test and so far have been waaaaaay too lazy to do so. Perhaps on one of the days when all else is done

I know the front runners are good for a lil more then just weight reduction b/c it's rotating mass right? Either way .2 for all of this is a huge deal when we are pulling hairs here...lol

There is a big weight diff, from an RT/RT or SRT-8 seat to standard R/T seat. about 20 more pounds diff, The rear seats all togeather probably only weigh 30 pounds if that.

Front runners are my next step, and I would have had them on last night IF work wasn't running me ragged this week, Its kind of DE TO DEE when you go to put your new front runners on, and you don't have the right lug nuts :banghead:

I was also told to disconect the front sway bar, that it helps with the weight transver = more trackshon.

you gonna use the spares for front runners?

DO a search on front runners, V6 spair tire rims, a spacer, and some M&H's it think it gets you down to 33 pounds per rim set up.

Like a desperate idiot I made an attempt to use to spares for front runners.......glad the track officials stopped me from seeing where the limits are:banghead:

If anyone knows of an 18" front runner then you are in business.

You might want to have a look at these, I just got a set of the five spoke's 17x4.5 but can't test fit them till Tommorow.:wink:
Disclosure- These will most certinly need adapters/spacers!
