Got a flat the other day and when I went to get the spare out of the back I was shocked to see a lot of water in the spare tire well. Is there a tech bulletin about this?

don't know of any...but are you able to maybe follow a trail of where it is coming from. Did you check any of the rubber body plugs? Does not look like you have a roof rack...so that's out of question. Has to be a rear side window or a plug from underneath? Take a peeksie...you may have one missing.

I had the same problem with my Taurus but it was because the body shop didn't do a good job welding and water was getting in at the top of the C-pillar(it was wrecked)

Strange my trunk is dry as a bone, and its been through some monson type rain storms!

I have had water in my "trunk" around the battery but only after washing... so seems pressure has something to do with it.

If you have been through an auto carwash it most likely is coming through the roof liftgate seal. Here's a link to a previous discussion:
