Does anyone know anything about the laws in Va. about lighting? I want to paint the tail lights but dont want to get hassled about it. I know tinting is a no no but painting shouldnt be a problem as long as it doesnt cover the lighted area?

I tinted my tails rather dark but left the turns and reverse lens clear. I havent been bother for them yet, but I was getting pulled a lot for window tint even tought its factory.

I think where in Va you are is a bigger question.

Virginia (my home state) is a real PITA in terms of mods, especially anything lighting related. I think that as long as you do like RobAGD did you will probably be OK.
