Bout 30 minutes ago...stolen from my driveway...been letting my G/F use it and it looks like she didnt alarm it when she came in last time.

I actually heard it start up and she was just opening the door to go out and get into it.

Fricken sucks as I still owe about $6500 on it and didnt have theft coverage.

UPDATE***

So for those of you that werent out Thursday night...

My Durango was found...BY ME...when it DROVE PAST ME...

I called the cops as I followed it...they came and set up watch on it for several hours but the losers never came back. So I get a call from the RCMP around midnight saying they were just going to have the truck towed to the Unitow Yard and I could pick it up the next day...YAY ME!!!

UPDATE TWO***

For Everyone...

So I go to Unitow this morning to pick up my truck...

First the woman tells me that it didnt have a plate on it when they towed it so it will have to be towed out...I said "Thats strange. Seeing as I saw my plate on it when it drove past me and had the plate on the whole time I was waiting for the police to show up." She says oh...maybe it just wasnt written down.

Then I head out to the lot wiht the lot guy to get my truck...its supposed to be in the recently brought in area (Lets say top right corner of the lot)...we actually find it in the opposite area of the lot (bottom left corner) and guess what...it doesnt have my excellent all terrain truck tires on it anymore.

The front end has small car tires on it and the rear has truck tires but certainly not the ones I had on it...I can see this from like half a block away...my truck is a very strange sight...looks like a classic hotrod with the jacked up rear end...the strangest part however is that that wasnt how it looked when I saw it driving the night before.

UNITOW STOLE MY F**KIN TIRES.

Unitow of course figures it was a stolen recovery so Ill never know the difference...except I DO.

Besides...what frickin crackhead is going to pull my rims off...take the tires off...mount different tires on MY RIMS, only put two or three lug nuts back on each rim and then drive it around...not to mention lower and take my spare from under the truck.

Im more pissed at UNITOW than I am at the crackheads that stole it in the first place.

**** yeah flip right out steve thats a bunch of bs! and also get in touch with the officers who watched it get towed to confirm what your saying because they can charge unitow with theft. They will warrant the surveillance video from unitow and watch it and if they see your truck came in with those tires your stating and now there trying to give you back this, trust me unitows going to have some charges to face up to

Wow, what a piss off. What really sucks is it will be your word against theirs. I think I would be writing letters to the editor, etc. Was there any body damage? Sure hope your experience with ICBC is better than with Unitow.

A buddy of mine had almost the same story but it was his system that got uped and his car just got towed not stolen and it was under the granville bridge in the tow yard when it happened.

The cops that saw the truck will also have some explaining to do, they should know exactly how your truck was towed.. How could you be WATCHING the vehicle and then when you go to pick up the vehicle the tires are changed. Something doesn't add up, but you SHOULD have the cops that were watching on your side as well...
