Heya all,

Looking like I'll be making a Road Trip to Ohio to pickup my SRT8 Challenger from Bob Frederick II. (Frederick Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge). Driving out in my '03 SRT4 for trade in and picking up the Challenger and driving back. Should be somewhere between 1/26/09 and 1/30/09, plus or minus a day or two on either end. I figure 2 days there, 2 days back, sleeping 8 hours a night at a hotel (Motel 6 is your friend!). Wondered if anyone wanted to co-pilot and/or share in the driving? Either way, I've driven long distance before, putting 1000 miles a day on the odometer, so I'm used to it. Hope to be a full fledged member of the LX/LC community shortly!

If I was single, I would go in a heartbeat. But I have this wife that will look at me with evil eyes if I said, "Hey I'm going to take a trip to Ohio with a guy I never met to go pick up a car". I'm all for it...

But, have fun either way, I love road trips.

This does sound like a blast. You might want to shedule a couple of extra days for weather. Any route you go has alot of passes that can get crappy in hurry. Which route are you looking at?

The wife is the issue! She's never been past Idaho, and wants to travel East so bad! Man she'd be mad at me, considering it'd be about my 5th trip across the States!

Does this have to happen during the week? Or can it happen over a long weekend?

How sweet of a deal did you get? I've been in touch with a couple of dealers that are throwing HUGE discounts on Challengers. Over a month ago I got my brother $2,500 off a R/T six speed. I'm trying to make that look like chump change!!

Wow... I thought I was bad... I was looking specifically for a used Charger SXT/AWD. I found this one in Oshkosh, WI! Drove 9 hours up on Friday (through Chicago rush-hour), got a good trade-in on my Subaru Baja, then drove the Charger 9 hours home on Saturday! :racing:

Nah, My SRT-4 is red. As for solid dates, I don't have those yet, but it sure could be a long weekend. A couple extra days to take it easier isn't a bad idea either, especially if there were more than one car involved haha. So far the window of when I get back to oregon from work is around the 23rd-24th of January, at which time It'll probably take a day to get packed and get the SRT-4 ready to go to Ohio to trade in. I got a decent trade in for the SRT-4 and MSRP on the Challenger. I know people have made better deals, but this guy in Ohio was able to work the deal in the time frame I needed instead of me having to wait possibly months to get the car. So there ya go . It's not 100% current, but there are recent photos of the SRT-4 in the 4 sale section of LXForums or on www.koracing.net. At any rate, I sent in my info for the contact list, but haven't mapped out a route, maybe I'll get a navagator to do that for me??? *hint hint* while I'm still at work converting to full duplex telemetry on this ancient sub I have to work with (ROV).
