I did my best to stay true to original cruise idea: a Mopar Muscle car cruise. It was just fine for the first 11 years, until this year!

EVENT IS CANCELLED DUE TO THE ACTIONS LISTED HERE: Our event posting clearly stated "Muscle Cars and Trucks". Well, the local Fiat 500 club is getting their feelings all hurt because we were not inviting their "Mopars", and have actually created their own event, at the same time, same place, and were going to crash our event. What a bunch of jerks. They even stole our event picture, which is property of the WWMM.

The WWMM then said they did not want to be involved in the event because of these issues. So what do THEY do? After I cancel my event, THE Official 2018 Mopars on the Mountain FB event page, they started their own event. So much for their support. Man, car clubs can be so exhausting.

I haven't been on this forum (or any forum) for a good long while but now I'm done finally with college, I'm catching up. Yeah too bad about the Mopars on the Mountain event. WWMM did host the event on their own and had a pretty good turnout. I did not go as I felt it had gotten away from what it was when it was hosted purely off what this forum/site is based on... the LX platform. The first year I ran the event in 2013 we had maybe 23 cars. I did my best to resurrect interest in the event and the next year we had maybe 75 cars. I even designed a one-off logo and had Due to college commitments and lack of time, I passed the organization off to Roger who did a great job growing it. The FCA merger really brought a bunch of car brands into the mix that just really don't fit with the iconic Mopar brand. Truth be told, the most fun I had on this event was when only 23 cars went 'cus we were not impeding other traffic, we were not soo large as to be a target for the local LEO folks, and we could stay together all the way up. When the event has over 200 cars, it's just too big IMO.
I'm game for putting together future LX based runs; we could do one up St Helens, around Mt Rainier, or even out along the 20 miles of twisties on Hwy-112 to Neah Bay.

Yep, sounds good to me too. I have no interest in going on a cruise with Fiats and Neons and, well, I'll just say it - Trucks and SUV's.
Some smaller cruises with LX's would be fun again.

I'd love to get a similar type of event going. When I moved to Oregon from MA 4 years ago this event was one I desperately wanted to get to but never did. I've yet to see St Helens yet.
