I'm about to do my own spark plug replacement job and had a question to those of you who have done it. I popped off the boots and saw that the plug well was pretty deep. What inch extension for the socket wrench does it take to get to the spark plugs out of there? Man, that is a deep hole (he he he ).

I've read over that knowledge base article but unless I missed it, it doesn't mention the length of the socket wrench extension. Know what I mean???

I've got a really long (6") spark plug socket that works great without much of an extension and I can reach the socket and twist it by hand if needed.

That whole sentence just doesn't sound right...

A quick update : I did the spark plug job this past Wednesday and all went well. I bought a 5" extension for the socket.

The passenger side plugs on the front and back cyclinders were a pain in the butt BUT I'd do it again. Saved big bucks. Special thanks to BrilliantBlackHemi for the knowledge base article :not_worth .
