RICHMOND introduces gear sets for the new Dodge Challenger, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300!

Richmond Gear announces the introduction of gear sets designed specifically for the new Dodge Challenger, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. These new 215 mm gears are available in both 3.23 (49-0153-1) and 3.55 (49-0154-1) ratios. Also known as the SRT platform, these gears will be used behind Chrysler's 6.1 L Hemi. Chrysler offered gear ratios in the range of 3.07 and numerically lower, for production cars.
Richmond Gear engineering using our expertise in designing high performance gears, developed these gears to improve the performance of the SRT vehicles.

You can order the gears by themselves -

We've also packaged them with a Quaife differential. A great time to upgrade the stock diff while everything is out -

To give you guys a little more info, when you do a gear swap, you usually order the gears and also order an installation kit. That includes the bearings, shims ect... That stuff isn't available for the SRT8 cars. I searched Dodge/Chrysler last week and Richmond checked with Timken. None of us found an overhaul kit for these cars. So, you carefully taken everything out and then carefully reassemble with the same parts. Richmond has set up a number of these rears by doing that and they have had no problems. Parts are available for the 210 (5.7) rears but Richmond won't have gears until the end of February.

The Predator programmer is recommended to go along with this upgrade. It will allow you to keep your speedo accurate and also keep the car out of Limp Mode.

One question that might come up is... do the gears make any noise? Some aftermarket gears can be noisy. That's something that I think takes away from a car (gear whine). I asked about that and was told that they are quiet. Granted the set-up also has something to do with this but the design of the gears can also contribute.

Hope this helps!

Have you guys checked Benz for the SRT rear parts? Mercedes has used the 215 for years. I'd imagine that they have a rebuild it for them by now.
