Hey all! I need help. I want to install a remote starter on my 07 Magnum. I want to know EXACTLY what I need to do it. I have spent a few days phoning installers and dealers, all of whom seem uneducated, or excessively vague (likely a ploy to get me in the shop to pay for service). Any and all input is appreciated!

If you are only looking for a starter and not fancy bells whistles or alarms..

The Mopar remote is very easy to install and is made for our cars..

Shoot AdamC eastway a PM for prices ..

The install pdf is in the knowledgebase as well I believe and if not it's available in pdf on the moparsupercenter site as well so you know what you are looking at before even ordering the starter .. (paper copy comes with the unit btw)

Sorry Zoban, I should have been more clear.
I already have a starter that I would like to install, but I am aware that I may need another module or two. I know I need the transponder by pass, and I've heard that I might need another one. I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what they were for, and what they were called, where to get them, how they're installled, or, even, how to tell if I need them.

Thanks so much!

Ahh .. in that case we would need to know what starter it is that you have and any additional parts etc that you have now so that we can then go forward saying you'll need XX part etc..

Think radioactive is saying that the module will allow all the above .. transponder bypass is the main issue you'll have the rest is toys .. I could be wrong though as I don't do/haven't done Bulldog starters..

Sorry this is an old thread....I'd like to add some info anyway for posterity (and mainly for anyone searching and finding this later on).

The ADS-RNG C2 RF Ring is simply a glorified piece of wire antenna *WITH* a chip embedded in it. The chip is the same as in your key... it gets programmed (one time only) to the car and the chip fuses itself so that it can only be programmed to one car. The wire plugs into the bypass kit (ADS-AL CA w/ CH3 or maybe CA firmware) and when your remote start tells the bypass kit to start the car then the bypass sends the wireless RF "key signal" to the security device inside your ignition module telling the car that a valid key was being used.

In short: The antenna is used with bypass units to authenticate to your car. Without the bypass kit and antenna the car would start and immediately be shutdown by the built in factory security system.
