From reading this forum, I've heard that early LXs that are tracked on road courses eventually kill their power steering pump.
Since the switch to the electric systems on newer cars is this still an issue?
Would love to hear about any personal experience members have had with early or later systems.

With my first gen 300 SRT I blew the pump & rack doing donuts. Had the Jolvan power steering pulley upgrade ready to go but the car was totaled before I got it installed. Havent had any issues on my second gen yet but havent been to an autocross with this one yet.

In the track prep section of the SRT owners manual they say to remove belly pans before track use to get more cool air under the car and in engine compartment.

I have an electric power steering pump and it started popping fuses like it was its day job. The car was going to AMP fir some loving so just kept replacing them without undoing everything to get to it, since AMP was pulling the engine anyways it would be exposed. No idea yet what the cause is, will update once I know. Car is a 2011 Charger RT

Slidd, any chance you could post up the whole track prep section of the owner's manual? It's not in mine, and I'm having a hard time finding it online. Something like that could be very useful on here.
This is from my 2016 SRT manual and it starts on page 409.

There used to be something about changing the oil in either the Tremec 6-spd or the rear axle after 5 hours of track use but don't see that now.
