I have heads/cam, ported intake, and underdrive pulley being installed soon. Would a stock TB negate the benefits of a ported Intake? I don't want to increase breathing through my mods only to have a bottle neck at the TB. Also, I've heard the stock headers are pretty good on the SRT's unlike the 5.7s. Am I making a mistake not adding this to my set up? I've read that LTs are not a very good bang for the buck, however if I'm going to do it, now is definately the time. What is ya'lls thoughts?

Your headers are OK but you should get some high flo cats and probably the throttle body if you have your intake ported....as long as the hole is ported where the Throttle body goes on

Thanks, man. I've got the HF cats/Corsa already so I'll add the ported TB and hopefully be righteous!!

Howard's got twin turbos and N2O. If he's tuned right I'll get killed. However, once my build is complete,we're going to Carolina Dragway to line em up.
(me thinking....) I had better be getting some DRs quick!!

Depending on the cam you're going with, especially if you plan on doing a lot of drag racing, the lack of long tubes could cost you 2/10ths or about 20 horsepower. I've seen it with our customers. It's a personal choice, but you are right, now is the time to do it since it would be a free install.

Definately do the 85mm ported throttle body. It will make a nice difference.

Thanks for the info guys. if I knew for sure that there was 20HP to be had with LTs, no question I would do it. Since my goal is to be under 12 in the 1/4, I might just go ahead and do it now while it's economically feasable.
Damn this mod bug is killing me!!

Wow, that would be nice. The consensus seems that Kooks is the way to go, however they are pretty expensive. I guess you get what you pay for!!

Call HHP and ask about them...I have heard nothing but great things about HHP's customer service
