A water landing no less. Unbelievable how he brought it down, without rolling it over... or worse.
Just saw an interview and a guy said he saw the pilot try to gain altitude and pulled the nose up and they say that's what made the landing less catastrophic. It kind of glided on the water then came to rest. These pilots did an awesome job.

'Cept nobody ran :Na_Na_Na_Na:

But wow.... super wow. Sooooo cool to hear that everyone (they think) made it out of a plane crash, into a river, in the dead of winter. News that's shockingly good, rather than shockingly terrible, for a change!

I wish all the bad news this year had a happy ending as this one.
What could have been a tragedy ended up in happiness (not for the poor birds of course ).

There will never be enough thank yous to thank the pilot. :not_worth
Definitely a Miracle on the Hudson. :thumbs_u:

I was right on the West Side Hwy when it happened. The landing was so perfect you would have sworn the plane had pontoons on the bottom. The pilot deserves a medal.
