These are modeled on the knock-off type wheel attachment nut used for wire wheels.



The selling site says "Check your local laws before ordering" and "Triple-chrome-plated to add bright, custom styling to your off-road vehicle". Are these things illegal for street use. Did I miss something in the 40 years that I've been out of the loop?

I wonder what's illegal about them? I saw a new Mustang with some type of Ford wheel on it and it had spinner centers. The wheels looks like replicas of old gray magnesium wheels. The spinner centers actually looked aweful...

The look ok to me, and on the new Mustang's, they are real spinners.

The only thing I could see different between the Mustang and the Ones in the 1st psot, is that the Mustang ones don't stick out nearly as far as the ones above would ..
