Here's a quickie... does anyone know if there is a shelf life for oil filters? I was thinking of buying a 12 pack of MOPAR Performance oil filters for my 2008 Daytona. If someone were to put each filter into a zip-lock type bag, would one of those filters still be good in say 24 months, 36 months? I put MAYBE 200 miles a month on my car so these would probably be around for quite a while. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Should be fine, the paper filter element won't deteriorate for decades and then only if exposed to sunlight. Try to store them in a dry (low humidity) area, as the metal may start to corode slightly.

IMO, the MOPAR filters are no better than a Fram.... hard to say who actually makes them.

spring for a Mobile 1 or a K&N.... Ebay has a pretty good deal right now, a case of 6 for $24 plus shipping (comes to about $40....)

Thanks for the tip. Just wondering in general about storage and it would seem to be the concensus that if they are kept in a "cool dry place" they are good to go.
