no offense but, how would this be any different than KW V2($1.6k),

cuz, I love KW( not mine tho) feeling, sticky but not too bouncy,, comfy "enough" and still firm,,

I was expecting more like shock absorber set(all around) for like $600 to replace eibach

once I decide to keep awd or go SRT,(if i keep awd) i'm in too

The KW V2's will cost more than the BCR's will for a full set.

Also the V2's have a different design. The BCR's have dual-height adjustabiltiy, which allows for a wider range of height adjustemnt and drop without eating into your suspension travel.

KW does make a nice product, we sell their stuff and we like it. But it's nice to have options, especially ones that cost less :)

How does this work? Dual-Height adjustability?

The body of the shock itself is thread, so it threads into the lower mounting bracket. Thus, you raise and lower the car by spinning it in or out-of the lower bracket. Shock travel stays the same :)

Oh and uhhh....a small update.

INITIAL PROTOTYPES ARE DONE!

We should have them early next week :)

Hope this isn't a really stupid question

Hi all,
I am in the process of buying a 2005 Magnum RT AWD and just ran across this thread. I am a newbie in LX Land, and I have a question that I hope isn't stupid. What exactly is a coilover kit, and what are the benefits of having one. The roads on the island I live on, St Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, run from newly paved to never paved, and everything in between There are lots of steep uphill and downhill grades and more than the occasional pothole or bump. Would this kit be advantageous for such island driving, and why. Thanks for takin the time to help a newbie.

For your particular situation, I would stick with the stock suspension :)
x2, and you may wanna put some off-road tires on it :)

j/k about the tires, but no, I wouldn't lower it if that's the kind of driving I'd have to do every day ...

A coil over shock are basically a shock that has the coil springs over it, but the advantage is that the height is fully adjustable. The shock or strut body is threaded, and the spring perches spin up and down on these threads allowing the car to be lowered or raised below or above stock. A coil over "kit" are matched shocks and struts with the coil over springs. This is something that makes CMS different than the others, as PEDDERS and such ABANDONED us AWDers and left us with an incomplete kit. The stock struts just don't hold up to lowering, as the rate of the valving isn't "matched". There may be more to the CMS kit, that I am not aware of....

There is an advantage over just springs in that just lowing springs, you are stuck at that height, and your shocks and struts will eventually fail, and get bouncy. With coil overs, you can lower it for the track, or just to look cool for a show, then raise it back up to a more comfortable ride and winter time, raise it to stock or higher for more ground clearance. I am not completely certain about this, but I think that I read it correctly in an earlier post, that CMS will sell the struts and shocks separately for the spring only guys. They will have to clear that up or explain that better.

Bags will do the same, but once you have them installed, raising and lowering is effortless, LOL..... VERY IDEAL, but VERY EXPENSIVE.... Lowering springs are cheap, Coilovers are a happy in between..... I would say that if you want a stance of a standard R/T 2wd then you could go for it, but listen to the guy that knows. It would be up to you....

As soon as I have the extra cash saved, I am purchasing some. I would love to bag it, but, just can't afford something like that, well, I could afford it, but the wife would kill me, LOL...... SHE JUST DOESN"T UNDERSTAND!< >LOL

OK guys, the AWD kit is in.

I know you want pics, but I haven't been able to get any yet. I know, I know.

Soon, Mondays are busy :)

Now, we would like to test these out on a local car first. BCR is located in North Orlando, and they are willing to do a FREE install on whomever wants to be the first. They will install the kit, set it up to ride height, and make sure everything fits well. If all is well then you keep the kit (price will be discussed in PM) and drive home. If not they will get whats needed to make it fit and get that installed on your car.

So basically, whoever wants the first kit and is in the central FL area, or wants to make the drive, speak up and PM us :)

OK the 5 on the list....what's your excuse ?????

ME....I'm in Upstate NY......:boohoo:
That's a lot closer than Oregon!

BTW... where are those pictures???
