G'day everyone :)

I have dropped in here many times over the past year (or maybe a couple of years) and finally decided I am overdue with joining up. I expect some may recognise me from another related Forum.

I have discovered a heap of useful information here. My ride is a Bright Silver 300C SRT8 (Aussie spec of course).:thumbs_u:

G'Day!

Yeah, she sure is a beaut! Post heaps of pictures of your ride in Melbourne, maybe I'll spot a relative. My mum was born there, and her father, and his father...

That's some beautiful countryside you got down there. I was lucky enough to visit the area a few times when my family lived in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton years ago.

Cool ride too!

Welcome srt61!

I'll try and cover off the questions

She's a beaut! Glad you could join us. Whereabouts in Melbourne do you hang your hat? My oldies moved to St. Leonards from Elsternwick about 10 years ago.
Home is in the Malvern area, not too far from Chadstone Shopping Centre.

welcome srt61. good to have you on board. :)
what differences for Aussie spec?
Now this could be tricky

The first thing that you can possibly notice is we have wheel arch extensions. The Aussie spec SRT8 is fairly loaded standard from what I gather of the NA spec'ed SRT8s with all those optional "packs". We cannot get Sat Nav though.

We are the most over policed country in the world I reckon, fixed and mobile speed cameras (revenue collectors) everywhere, 3 kph (<2 mph) speed tolerance and even highway trip calculation, ie. on a 100 Kilometre highway trip they take a pic of you near the start and a pic later and calculate if you have exceeded the maximum average for the posted speed limit. Damn technology eh? Of course we do have the Northern Territory where there are NO speed limits outside towns :racing:

I am so so so so so sorry! That's the same flip side as a lap dance from shakira. You want to inflict some damage, and really could do some damage, but then again you cant!

Rev, besides the Autobahn, the best places to open 'em up are here in the west - Texas, NM, our nice straight desert roads here in AZ and other places like Montana.
By the way, SRT61, Welcome from Arizona! The great desert on the other side of the world. From what I hear our skin cancer rate here is about the same as Sydney.
