Background info:
I have the MyGig RER unit running software version 9.897 retrofitted onto a 2007 Charger using the Coastal ETech LockPick Adapter. Front and rear cameras are also hooked up.
Problem:
Everything has been working perfect since the installation. Last weekend as I'm driving, I look down at the Nav screen and notice that all of a sudden the car appears to be moving in reverse. Upon closer inspection, I notice the map screen appears to be reversed on-screen.....In other words....left appears as right and vice-versa and the arrow representing the car is moving backwards. I didn't have time to look further into it until last night. I disconnected the MyGig from the car (thinking maybe something may have gone haywire in the connections) and reconnected everything as before. No good....same problem. I played around with all the settings to see if maybe something was misconfigured.....no luck. So I reinstalled the software thinking maybe something got corrupted in the OS....still no luck. I was getting ready to pull my hair out and contemplated calling Harmon-Becker up to ask about possibly returning the unit in exchange for another one. I was driving along with this reverse nav video on-screen and trying to think of what the possible causes could be. So I decided to turn the rear camera on by pressing the uconnect button twice while I was moving forward....and then I turned it back off again to return to the nav-screen. When the nav screen came back...all of a sudden now it's back to normal. I'm still not sure of what the root cause may be, but it seems like it might have something to do with the reversal of screen associated with the rear-view camera. Not sure if it's caused by the camera itself, the Lockpick not being able to switch screens properly, or the MyGig not being able to handle the multiple inputs properly. Nonetheless, the screen is back to normal, but I'm still a bit unnerved as I don't know if it will re-occur. Very weird to say the least.
Just wondering if anyone else with the same setup has experienced anything like this.
