Background info:
I have the MyGig RER unit running software version 9.897 retrofitted onto a 2007 Charger using the Coastal ETech LockPick Adapter. Front and rear cameras are also hooked up.

Problem:
Everything has been working perfect since the installation. Last weekend as I'm driving, I look down at the Nav screen and notice that all of a sudden the car appears to be moving in reverse. Upon closer inspection, I notice the map screen appears to be reversed on-screen.....In other words....left appears as right and vice-versa and the arrow representing the car is moving backwards. I didn't have time to look further into it until last night. I disconnected the MyGig from the car (thinking maybe something may have gone haywire in the connections) and reconnected everything as before. No good....same problem. I played around with all the settings to see if maybe something was misconfigured.....no luck. So I reinstalled the software thinking maybe something got corrupted in the OS....still no luck. I was getting ready to pull my hair out and contemplated calling Harmon-Becker up to ask about possibly returning the unit in exchange for another one. I was driving along with this reverse nav video on-screen and trying to think of what the possible causes could be. So I decided to turn the rear camera on by pressing the uconnect button twice while I was moving forward....and then I turned it back off again to return to the nav-screen. When the nav screen came back...all of a sudden now it's back to normal. I'm still not sure of what the root cause may be, but it seems like it might have something to do with the reversal of screen associated with the rear-view camera. Not sure if it's caused by the camera itself, the Lockpick not being able to switch screens properly, or the MyGig not being able to handle the multiple inputs properly. Nonetheless, the screen is back to normal, but I'm still a bit unnerved as I don't know if it will re-occur. Very weird to say the least.

Just wondering if anyone else with the same setup has experienced anything like this.

You may have the Mygig funky nav problem (....no reference to the real Funky Chicken ...LOL!) . You could try this proceedure if it happens again:

I had it happen on my original MyGig and did the rest and it didn't return.

Not to hijack the thread here too much, but since you are talking about MyGigs.....have you or anyone with it in a pre-08 LX (using the Lockpick) have low volume audio with the volume turned down to zero or even with the unit turned off?

Thanks for the info fellas....I knew I'd get an answer if I posted my problem. I may have to reset it using this maintenance procedure if the problem comes back.

Yeah, this happens on my unit as well. There is always a faint audio of whatever it is you had on at the time of turning it off. I find the best way to deal with this is to put it into hard-drive mode (with no songs selected to play) prior to shutting it off.....that way there's nothing to listen to when you need absolute silence in the car.

Has there been a solution found for the faint audio issue? I'm upgrading to a RER soon, and this issue will annoy the hell out of me. I already don't like the fact that:

1)No EVIC or RER display of uconnect, phone signal strength, or battery remaining. Only phone number.

2)Factory VES is on it's own- No more radio, Sirius, or any other source shared from head unit. Only DVD on VES. No sound from VES through factory sound system. Albeit you can mod the wiring to get sound, or use the IR headphones.

3) No EVIC display of Sirius, unless you have original SDARS module with TERK SIR SP, which is basically discontinued. Try finding a TERK SIR SP now..... Even if you did, once your original subscription on your original SDARS ends, what are you gonna do? Have 2 subscriptions just for the SAT evic display?

4) Other little quirks that I've read about, such as NAV voice guidance getting cut off, Hard Dive corruption, touch screen freezing issues, ect.

I'm almost starting to regret that I took the plunge. We'll just have to see how it fares when I receive all needed to make it work. I can compromise with some of these issues, but the faint audio, and NAV voice getting cut off, will drive me insane! If it's too glitchy even after clockfix, and latest updates, I'll be posting it all as a package deal for sale, and go back to my trusty REC, which has never let me down.
