We are working on a project with Richard Petty's Garage. Our wheel and tire setup will be square 19x10.5 Forgeline wheels with Bridgestone RE-11 305/30/19/XL rubber. This is our version of a track ready daily driver wheel and tire combination.

I know Matt used to run 18x8.5 or 9s. What size wheels and tires are you running at the track?

I was running 18x9 Mustang Saleen Replicas but I moved up to 18x10 custom wheels from Forgestar. I haven't recieved the yet but here is a pic...

They'll be mounted with Continental Series scrubs(275/35/18). $412 shipped to my door for a set of 4. I will start purchasing them in sets of 16 to bring the cost down a bunch.

I can't argue with any of that. IIRC at least some of the Re-11's 18" and all of the 19" sizes are new. I've been wanting to run them for some time... but no workable sizes existed. I see there is now a 275/40/18 with a *decent* load rating, but the 305/30/19 you guys are using has both a wide tread patch (11.1") and a good load rating. I don't see any other tire giving a wider patch of sticky rubber, unless you want to get truly serious and use Pirelli's PZero Corsa System... but now you are talking a lot more money and a lot less tire life. But it would absolutely outperform the Bridgestones on track. Thing is, though, the Pirelli's run wider than the same size B's. A full inch wider. Fitment would be fun to figure out.

I was running 18x8.5's but am stepping up to the same 18x10's that NYC_SRT8 is talking about. Them or a similar 5-spoke version. I have to upgrade to SRT knuckles to fit the wheels, which is in progress.
My Hoosier slicks will still have an inch less tread patch than those Bridgestones. I wonder how that trades off...

From what I was told 20lbs.
Its a bit less than that. Check their testing data. The 18x8.5 weighs 17.7 lbs and the 18x12 weighs 20 lbs even. so we are somewhere in between.

I have been running 25% antifreeze with good results. No other additives. During the winter I make sure to drain or increase antifreeze to 50%. important to note, my Challenger is NOT a daily driver.

Hey guys. I'm new to the dodge community but have been trying my best to chuck cars left and right around the race track for the last 20 or so years (crap that just sunk in)

i have a dedicated track car, but it doesn't mean that I won't take this new 16 SRT 392 Charger out for some laps. Have you guys found any specific weak links in the new chassis? Any must do bushings or things like the ps cooler that translate over to the newer cars.Tires, Pads, lines and fluids are on order for me for track days, and actually I like a hotter pad for the street and run light weight track pads on trophy brakes on my last daily.

so far most of my reading have found tips and tricks for the drag strip, which doesn't really interest me much.
