ok what you see is a spider inside the headlamp.
How did it get in?
How did it grow to that size in the headlight?
What was the time of death?

And ...how the hell do I get him out?

...I have not, nor has anyone dissamble the light for any reason. just showed up couple weeks ago.

Incidentally...my 100th post

I had one in mine a while back too. I don't know what happened to the spider, but I still have a small web in the corner of the headlight! Maybe they come from the factory with spider eggs! :)

Is there a vent hole that he could've crawled in? I haven't looked at the back of my headlights.

It seems spiders are a part of these cars. I had web in the light housing as well ( no spider I could find ) and I have spiders on a regular basis in or on my car :/

Had them on my air intake baffle. (that plastic piece that zig-zags the incoming air before it get to the filter). Not only A spider, but a small 'cacoon' of baby spiders!! I cracked it open and they scurried everywhere! I'd say at LEAST 30-40HP gain!! LOL

I haven't checked the lights but I always have spiders on my car. I just don't care for when they crawl on you while driving. It startles me and just freaks me out. I get webs on the windshield (inside).

Didnt read all the posts, but it could have easily gotten in there though where the bulb is...its supposedly a pretty tight seal but...not enough for spidey

You should be able to let him outta there if you pull the bulb and leave it out one night....either he'll leave or invite all his friends in there

I knew an old Magnum that swallowed a spider,

Then it swallowed a snake to catch the spider

Then swallowed a ferret to catch the snake

anyone want to continue....
Then it used a 12ga shotgun to get rid of the ferret!:blam:

Since we're on the subject of spiders, I heard some interesting statisitics about them once.

This was from a radio show here in Denver and was stated by a local veterinarian. You may have seen him on TV before. He was one of the vets on Animal Planets Emergency Vets show.

Anyway.....

1. The average human eats approximately 5-8 spiders per month while they are sleeping.

2. You are never more than 5 feet away from a spider.

You'll think twice the next time you wake up with a funny taste in your mouth! :)

Oh well, just an intersting little bit of trivia.

Sorry for the hijack.
