hello, i'm new to this forum. I am awaiting the arrival of my 212lx cam and heads from krc. I also ordered the sc flashpack, jba headers and dynatech headers and high flow cats. I'm not going to do the install myself because i just don't have the patience or experience with this modern setup. I found a shop in delaware but it's probably going to be in early october. I will post pics and 1/4 mile times afterward. My best run was 14.40 bone stock. wish me luck!! for now i will have to settle for staring at all the parts.

also i forgot to mention i'm just going to replace the filter with a k&n drop in. I don't think the cold air intakes are worth the money and from what i've read my stock daytona is just as good as any. By the way, how's your car runnin' with the cam? any issues?

the stock daytona intake is really nice, but there is some room for improvement. how about one of those monsterIII intakes from matt.
a 180 thermostat and a fan mod will also help a lot.

my car runs fairly good. i wish i could raise the idle to 750, but that is the only issue i have. i still have stock heads.

so what springs are you running now? I'm getting the heads from krc, but i forgot to inquire about the springs they come with. I'm sure they will probably work fine, but after the issues you had i was nervous.

yeah!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting to hear that. It's probably going to be at least a month before i take everything out to get the install done. I guess i'll just lay everything out on the floor and stare.

Sorry, 3 packages went out 73! make sure you clean the heads with air real well from any packing material that may be in them. Feel free to PM me for any install details or help! The paint (they) use on them is high heat Duplicolor 1615 Alum, make sure you paint the timing cover the same color and hit the block with Duplicolor Gloss Black while the heads are off. CHuck up the headers to the heads first before installing the heads and tighten them, then install them with the header in place, trust me.

thanks for the info. By the way if it's not too much to ask, what are the specs on the 212lx cam as compared to the stock cam? Also, sorry to be a pain in the .... but what's the differences between the heads i'm getting and the stock heads? I'm just so pumped up knowing my stuff is on the way!!!!

In a nutshell, the heads, they are a full second faster than the stock config. Usually the stock camshafts are 200-206 duration at .050" I have never Cam Doctored one or wanted to know honestly. Your cam is worth 10hp over the 210LX cam in my Charger. Your heads are ported to match the 212 Cam profile specifically, to keep the torque up, if you decide to run a cam larger than the 220, you would have to do more work in the head for those profiles. They run the Comp Beehive springs and retainers for 6500 rpm. We run 13.30 at 104 with the same combo using the 210LX cam. Without drag radials it runs 13.6. We started at 14.5, then 14.2 was the best ever. Average was a 14.40, now it averages 13.36 in Florida heat. Worst has been 13.41, later!
