This is a feel good thread, so lets keep it that way with your stories please.

This is what happened to me...

As all of us are aware, times are tough.

My job has just cut me back to 4 days a week, so that is no great thing but, at least I have some marketable skills to make up the money with. So with my new 3 day weekends, I have decided to work on improving my life and my house.

One of the tasks is to streamline all the crap I have been hanging on to. So my task this weekend was to clean out my spare room. It is actually my Gym, but has been buried for over a year and a half now. (I want to get back in shape this year too)

Anyway, I pull out all the crap I have been stacking in there, fit most of it back in the closet where it belongs, the rest is garbage or donations.

This is where things get kind of interesting.

2 years ago on my birthday I received a 24" lcd monitor for my computer. So my 19" CRT monitor went into the spare room. ( one day I might need it as a backup )

There it sits until this weekends cleaning session. I pulled it out, along with a bunch of older stereo stuff, and a 21" tv.

I set the stereo stuff out by the street for any of the neighbors to have ( it lasts about 15 min and gone)

My GF says I should take the monitor and tv to Goodwill along with other stuff, so I agree.

We go drop off the stuff, and after we leave, she says lets go get some stuff from her house too.

Ok, we do, and head back to Goodwill.

We get back, and I see my monitor in the dumpster !!!! So of course I was like WTF !!!
It was a good brand ( Viewsonic) and in perfect shape.

So as we leave I think to myself (BS on that ) and I grab it from the dumpster.

So off we go with my monitor, I figure I will give it away to someone in need rather than it go to the landfill.

So I tell my friends what happened, we all agree that it was BS, but oh well.

So tonight I get a call from Bryan (Bighemi06), asking if I still have the monitor, because a coworker needs one since his broke last week and cant afford to replace it. So I tell him yep, and he can have it.

So as it turns out, he picks it up, takes it home and calls me thanking me over and over.

He gives me blessings and good wishes over and over, which just gives me a warm feeling.

So there it is. A monitor that I sat on until this weeks craziness is now at a good home being enjoyed by someone less fortunate than me ( currently)

:beerchug:

So call it Karma or fate, or even planetary alignment. All I know is that it was strange how that all worked out.

So,

What about you guys ?

Not Karma or fate, but definitely a "feel good" post....

We are lucky enough to belong to the best LX club here on the forums (IMO, of course)! Since joining over a year ago with our wonderful ride, SO MANY awesome things have happened that I cannot even list them all, but here's a highlight of the outrageous, most recent and eventful for us:

We were gifted a "historic" (proven & tested) new intake for FreeBird from a highly-respected AZLX member-which we are totally thrilled with (don't quote me, but somewhere in the ballpark value of $275-300)

I purchased used Super Chips from a great friend and AZLX member as a surprise Christmas gift for my husband, MillerTime for the reasonable price of $100, but instead received from this member my own surprise of a brand new Diablo Predator! (again, don't quote me, but somewhere in the value of $250-300)

AND we were gifted, again by wonderful friends (who are a couple) and AZLX member a new set of blue AAC halos for Bird PLUS this member and many others devoted an entire afternoon and evening just last Sunday to install them!

Do the math quickly and you will understand why this alone SHOULD BE our feel-good story.....
but it's not!

Our "feel good" portion is that we are proud to have the most wonderful group of LX friends, no, FAMILY here, thanks to the forums, that we would not trade for the world!!!

I was riding my Harley up the Oregon coast. Nine of us total. All LE.
Anyway, a deer ran out, jumped over the bike in front of me, and landed on top of me. We were going about 60 mph.

I survived...

Lets here some more positive stuff in these crappy times.

Fresh start !! Nothing wrong with that !

Like the quote from Kung-Fu Panda...

There is no good or bad news, just how you react to it.
