looking to get the stage 2 jet chip.... with the mods I have will the stage 2 work???

looking for more horsepower off the line
Yes, TATTOOD, your car qualifies fully for the Jet Chip stage II. Power and driveability differences will be immediately noticeable to you post install.

For the not-uncommon price of $150 for a used Stage II Jet Chip there is no better value in terms of a performance mod for your 5.7L Hemi. To the surprise of the many uninformed who opine on the Jet Chip, it not only gives your engine an immediate power boost by means of much more agressive fuel and timing management, but it gives your tranny a much needed boost as well by raising tranny pressure noticeably. Shift lag becomes a forgotten nuisance. See my post here to examine the benefits provided by each of the various mods I've added in my quest for perfection of the 5.7 Hemi: http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=17243&highlight=modding+hemi

If I didn't need the Superchips tuner to raise the speed limiter I'd have never purchased it. Several tests show the Jet Chip to produce more power than does the Superchips tuner, and it has a better fuel map. I had to add the Jet Chip back on top of the Superchips tuner to cure a lean surge at high speed, something that had never occurred when using the Jet Chip, under any circumstances.

Even at supporting vendor pricing you can't go wrong with the Stage II Jet Chip, IMO.

Also consider the Robert Shaw 383-170 176-degree failsafe thermostat and the GSM fan/torque/ESP mod. You can read more about the cooler tstats here: http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=19830&highlight

A cooler tstat is in reality only half a mod, needing a fan mod to keep your engine cool in town and in heavy road traffic.

Only the GSM fan/torque/ESP mod will allow you to totally disable ESP interference with your power application. The on-the-fly control it gives you over the radiator fan alone makes this a mod worth buying.

Why is it that this is the first time I've heard that the stage 2 jetchip actually does something?!? I've heard that there are no real significant gains beyond the SC-flashPaq.... hhhhmmmm..... Obviously? I'm wrong again!??!!
Good question, monty. I've been touting it's tremendous improvements in driveability and performance for over a year now.

This thread was first posted well over a year ago if memory serves: http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=17243&highlight=modding+hemi

wait wait wait! So the factory computer does not learn it's way around the Jet chip II ? I thought the SC Flash p was the only one that could "trick" (for lack of a better term) the Factory computer
The cool thing about the stage II jet chip, BuckeyeRT, is that HAL doesn't know he's being spoofed. The jet chip lies to the PCM about the OAT, telling it that it's chilly outside and therefore OK to really crank up the timing and fuel. And the boost to the tranny pressure isn't challenged. Result: crisp throttle response, increased horsepower, and smooth, quick, crisp shifts.

There is an immediate improvement in overall driveability, especially if you're running the free flow intake and exhaust systems that you should be if running the stage II.

Going with a cooler tstat like the Robert Shaw 383-170 helps noticeably also, especially when coupled with a fan mod. More on that here: http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=19830&highlight
