hey every one i got a few questions about jba exhaust...I've seen the prices for them on alot of sites and theres going for less than 500 bucks and im thinking wow thats a good price but im wondering how do they stack up against other companies like borla,magnaflo and ect...and i would also like to see pics to see how they look on the cars...if anyone with a 300c that has one i'd love to see those pics the most...but others would be ok too

Search around on here and lxforums, there are alot of writeups about them. A friend of mine (who has been building for years) has lots of good things to say about them - hogh quality product.

I've got them on an '06 Magnum and think the quality and fit is excellent. From what I read, the JBAs tend to be a little louder than most of the others because they have no rear resonators. They sound great at take off and are quiet when cruising at lower speeds. Once you get to about 2200 RPM, they begin to bark (and they sound pretty mean - in a good way).

The tips stick out about the same as stock. I hope this helps. Here are a couple of pic's:

There are some complaints about drone... But I've heard complaints about drone from almost every exhaust setup out there... I have the magnaflows on my RT, and I love em...

Personally, I wouldn't call the sound "drone". They are just louder than stock. If you cruise at a constant 70MPH, then you will get a continuous sound, just like stock. The JBA is louder, but it is the same type of sound all through the RPM range - lower pitch at low RPM and higher pitch at high RPM. Quiet at low throttle and louder at WOT. To me "drone" would be a pronounced resonance at a specific RPM range. You can easily tell when MDS kicks in and out with the JBAs, unless you have music playing. BTW, they are not so loud that you can't enjoy music or carry on a conversation.

I think they just clamp together differently than the other guys' exhausts... such that they're cheaper to produce. They also aren't of the no-drone quality that Corsa and Zoomers brag about... I haven't ridden inside a car with either, so I can't vouch for their claims.

I've had my JBA exhaust on for two months and I guess I need a drone professional to ride we me, to tell if I have drone. I do know it sounds like crap doing 40 in 5th gear, but just a downshift and the sweet sound is back.

You'd be wrong. My Mag will kick into MDS at al ot less than 40 MPH. A cruise through town (25MPH) and it will engage. It will also go into 5th at 40 MPH (or less) if I don't have it in manual mode.
