When I met you and your family, I saw your smiling face and a bottle of tequila. This was our first........and last meeting! Even with our brief encounter, I could sense you were a big teddy bear with a heart of gold that would do anything for anybody. After conversations about you with Kerry and other members, my intuitions about who you were, have been proven correct. You are missed and thought of often, my friend. Rest in peace, David.

i am from edmonton, and i was working in port coquitlam in april of 07,we were going back to the hotel after a day of work on highway 7 i think,we were stopped at a red light when we seen this wicked yellow car turn onto the highway,i knew right away that it was the new super bee that i had seen on the internet,on ebay, but never in person, the car looked unreal,i was looking to buy a new unit but was very undecided on what to get but when i seen this car i knew i had to talk to this person about it.i followed the car for about 5 miles when finally he turned off into a safeway parking lot.i turned in and parked,a little shy but i walked up to the man and started to talk to him, right away i felt comfortable talking to this gentleman,he showed me the whole car, inside and out,we talked for a good 20 minutes about his car and he was very gracious and not in a hurry to brush me off or anything, this man was mean bee,#4/1000 i gave him my card and he said he would look around for me,and he also gave me very valuable advice.i left knowing that this was the car i had to have, alot of hard work, searching, and effort later,on july 7th 2008 i got my car,and yes mean bee i got full load all options including dvd,9000kms on it,flawless,#293/1000,i listened to everything you said, when i got it i actually wished you could see it for your approval, even though we met very briefly, you were extremely accomadating to me and very helpful,i thank you very much.looking down on my car i know you approve.p.s i talked to jina and my console cover is on the way,i really liked yours so i had to have it,i told you i would remember everything without writing it down. god bless you mean bee you were a great man michael shaw leduc alberta

Wow, how did I miss this thread...

Dave certainly had many passions and it looks like he not only aimed high, but acheived it with a smile on his face that would welcome anyone.

A terrible loss to everyone he touched by the looks of things.

Sorry Dave, I never met you, but I wish I had. Thanks for your impression on this world. In spite of losing you, I'm sure you left behind a trail of happy faces.

And one wicked nice car... Always loved the yellow bee.... No doubt Kerry will drive it with a whole lotta love!

Well David,

It has been 6 months... in many ways it seems like yesterday ... You are still missed by everyone! I had the Bee out on Monday.... you would have loved it. The roads were cold, so it was all over the place... boy did it feel good!! Even though the boys and I continue our lives, know you are missed and loved everyday!

Hey Everyone, I just was looking over the wonderful thoughts and memories of a man we never knew. I'm the wife of Lee, and I totally see what this man meant to everyone. Life works in mysterious ways....but it's the people we meet in our daily lives that touch us and we remember the good times. People like David who show enthusiasm for life...make us want to pay it forward to the next person. I think this is awesome to post his life and memories people have shared with him..even the little things that he did. R.I.P
Ohh and QUEEN MEAN BEE I also think that you racing his car is fantastic..YOU GO GIRL!!!

I have blinked, and one year has past...... the tears that fall still hurt as much as the moment you left us. I keep waiting for the hurt to dwindle but it just doesn't seem to let up. David, you are missed, thought of and spoke of often. You taught me a lot about life in the last two years you lived. I am not sure you realized how you yourself changed. You accepted life's changes with no complaint, and truely lived life to its fullest! You took each day and embraced it. I think of your strength and truly hope I can always have half as much strength as you!

Our boys are amazing... they are really growing up. They are smart boys with good heads on their shoulders. I am very proud of them how they have handled losing their dad. Seeing Taylor and how proud he is to be taller than me would make you laugh! .. And Spencer is almost there as well, we check almost daily. You will still recognise me though, I am the short mom waving my finger at them with my other hand on my hips as I scold them!

Me, well... I keep hearing it gets better after the first year. So, I wait! You will never leave me, but you do share my heart!

And my LX Family.... where would I be without you? From the day David died you have been there for me and the boys. A very special thanks to DannyBoy, King Mango, Skullboy and Teamo! Ok, so maybe DannyBoy isn't teaching them the most desirable things, but they are getting educated :).

In life, everything happens for a reason. We may never know what that reason is, but I think I have figured out some of the what and why I have went through what I have. My advice to all is "Life is short...Live it to the fullest"!

I often hear people say that they wish they could take the hurt away.... David, I would never give up the hurt of missing you! I will love you forever. I will be watching for signs today.......

I am fairly new to the BCLX family, and as such I did not have the opportunity to meet David, but after reading this post today and learning about his love to his Family, car and fellow LX members, it felt like I knew him. RIP

Wow................A year has gone by...............so quickly.............

David, you are though of often by us, and missed terribly...........When I was removing the Tribute #4 off of my car at the end of the "Mean Bee" track night, I thought of the hours we spent talking about W.W.II, and all that other "Army Crap" (as someone else called it....).........the time spent trying to "ace" Passtime............and the great times hanging out at the meets...........I would have loved to race you and the Bee down the track, but I can feel you watching from above, smiling down at us as we lay rubber down the track in search of that faster time........

Cheers Brother David.............gone......But never forgotten....
