So last night tmac06srt8 called me up and said he was in the neighborhood and asked if i wanted to checkout the new shocks, and get a idea of what my front end is going to look like on my car(car is awsome LED lights everywhere the look ur doing ur thing Tomas:thumbs_u:) Anyways he came through i said take me 4 a spin never been in a srt8 300 although my first srt8 ride came from Hankster in his msrt i was in the backseat though meg the mog got shotgun so this was going to be my first ride in the front seat of a srt8:banana:. So i take him to a location on the northside of the city where we can do some test runs, and holly sh*# the SRT8's are no fuc*ing joke they r monsters 4 the road. i mean i have a 3.5L 300 stock right now and to me she's fast i'll race anyone:) but to have a srt8. when tmac took me on the first run i was cryin cause i was laughing so hard i couldent believe the power it had all the way through to the 130mph we hit. then we get back to my street and he swings the ass end left to right all the way down my block which is not short about 9 middle class homes long i just about craped myself cause i thought we were going to hit a parked car but tmac and his srt8 knew they could do stuff like that:racing:. so my point is im glade i dont have a srt8 cause i know myself and only if u guys knew how crazy i can be sometimes in my 3.5L if i had the 6.1L u guys would prob be visiting me in the Hospital cause theres not a dout in my mind that i would wrap that thing around a post cause i have the Tim The Toolman Taylor diseas i push things to there limits and beyond or im always tryin to make a good thing better:mrgreen:. thanks to Hankster 4 my first srt8 ride and thanks to tmac06srt8 4 not allowing my hart to calm down tell about 4hrs after he left what a rush.

Thats right...you were in the backseat when Hankster took us for the ride at Sonic. Man...that was some good times. I was laughin for days afterwords. For some reason going stupid fast in a short amount of time makes me giggle like a nutball.
But glad to hear yall had fun:)

HAHA:) so i can kill myself.
Bahhh, you won't kill yourself, the first time you get on it from a stop , making a right turn :), with your dad in the passenger seat , and after a blur of noise and sideways movement you find yourself looking left and smelling the cooked rubber :panic: you learn to respect it... that and your Corvette owning Dad won't race you even after driving all the way to Woodburn on a dare. :pepper::pepper:

At least if you survive your first set of rear tires, the 'ding' on the checkbook to replace them will temper your right foot a mite. Well, for some people anyhow. I'm not one of them unfortunately. I'm addicted to that burnt rubber smell and the little blinking esp light.

Your welcome Tony! That was good times. I love taking people for spins that have never rode in these monsters. TD I think you would be fine in a HEMI. Like Erik said, you learn to respect its power. After some practicing, you too can drift down your local streets..LOL

oh yeah.

Yes, I have to admit that taking passengers for a spin is great, especially when they reach up for the SH$$ handle and there's none there..lol....The only person left in my family that will dare to take a ride in my car is my three year old son, all he says is faster daddy faster.....

on another note I am clearly in need of tires as this Oregon rain makes it so I am in constant drift mode.....

It's all that track use:beerchug:. What did you end up with anyways?

The Vreds were selling on ebay for $700 shipped last week, now they are back up to $800. I need new meats myself.

My SRT has the oppossite effect on me most times I cruise, because I know I can "fly" when I want to fly and it can get way fast way quick. But I had to have the SRT and if I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to own one I would be proud to own any LX model that I could afford.

^^^Agree. Just great to have the power on tap as well as the handling of such a big car. You get used to it and learn how to control the "beast" within... lol
