I'm a New Owner of 300 SRT8, about a month now and 1100 miles. The car was droped off at the Dealer this morning (3rd time) hope they get it right this time. Problems; Trany 1st to 2nd shift (damn near throws you out of the car), Front Brake rotors groving real bad after only 1100 miles and Hesitation & Stalling when driving at low speeds (more severe when air is on). Anyone else with same issues? If so, what was done to corrrect the problems?

OK, Just got word from the Dealer, they say new Brake Pads and Rotors have been ordered but, are backordered. Says that they should be here by the end of this month. Also, Says that there is a new Tech. Advisory just released to take care of the Hesistation Issue, some computer programming of some kind. Last but, Not Least, Trany 1st to 2nd issue, they say that more programming was done and now there is a hard shift into first but, without the engine cutting out. I can live with this if true! I'm going to pick up the car and will let you guys know what's up tomorrow.

hahahahhahaa, you got bit by the SRT Bug.

Welcome to the LxForums.

There is a TSB coming for the Shift problem and there was one released on August 2nd for rotor scoring.

TSB #: 05-006-06

Date: August 2, 2006

Subject: Front And/Or Rear Brake Rotors Grooved/Scored

Models: 2005 - 2006 (LX) SRT8 Charger, SRT8 Magnum, SRT8 300C

Symptom/Condition: Front and/or rear brake rotors may appear grooved or scored prematurely.

Diagnosis: Inspect the brake rotors. If the rotors show premature grooving or scoring, perform the Repair Procedure.

Repair Procedure: Using the procedures outlined in TechCONNECT: SERVICE INFO tab /5 - Brakes/Hydraulic replace the front and rear brake rotors with the slotted rotors listed in the Parts Required section. Inspect the brake pads and replace the pads as necessary.

NOTE: If premature grooving or scoring is present on any rotor, slotted rotors must be installed in the front and rear.

Policy: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.

Welcome!

Page through the SRT8 section here. As Red mentioned above, there has been a ton of discusion on the brake and 1st - 2nd shift issues. The hesitation / stalling though is unusual.

Wish you had posted this before you took it in. It would have been helpful perhaps to have checked for codes...
