Today I spoke with Phil, an LEO in the NJ area and a member of the NJ Mopar Group club staff. I told him about our desire to send blankets, jackets, clothes, etc. He has seen first hand the relief efforts and the massive influx of these items.... and made a suggestion. FLASHLIGHTS.
I said, "flashlights"?
He responded, "yes, the residents of this area really need flashlights".
I wouldn't have thought of that, but hey, Phil is a first responder on the ground and he said that's the biggest need. Through his connections they are able to get durable LED flashlights at a professional discount.
We are doing our own club collection to send money for this effort. If you'd like to send something email me ( [email protected] ) and I'll give you the contact information for Phil.
