Well, it's not ideal for sure, but Mother Mopar needs small cars in the fleet. I would rather see that than Chery, for example.

I heard on the news this AM, Fiat is going to buy/bail/whatever. I was surprised they would have the financial means. Hope it works out.

Yeah, they are ugly all right, but it never ceases to amaze me what some people will buy. Consider the Pontiac Aztec. Actually the two red ones are LESS ugly than the others.yeah, there'll be platform sharing...so we'll have a bunch fiats with Dodge/Chrysler badges. I just went to Fiat's UK website...they're ugly little cars. There's not much there that would appeal to North Americans.
I get the need for small cars, but when you have to thoroughly rework the design to appeal to North Americans, is it really worth it?
