So i know on my scat , at least for me, the vibrant 1794s we’re perfect…. And I tried 4 different setups lol…And I know this is very subjective but wondering if the same vibrants are a good choice on the cat ? Or something different? I know the power train is different and I don’t want obnoxious, also don’t want to eliminate hearing the whine completely by too loud of an exhaust, just wondering what you all have done or suggest.
Thanks

The Vibrants are still a good option.

My buddy with a Hellcat put on the Dynomax bullets and it sounded good, but when he rev'd it good and I was standing behind it.....it was LOUD!
(he still thought my Scat with the Vibrants sounded better though, FWIW)

thanks bud.. figured as much but doesn't hurt to ask for real world experience here... and I agree, I had the mini bullets on my daytona and it was too loud for me

Don't mess with any CAI as the HC air box is about as good as you're going to get. I have the lower half of the HC box, and intake tube along with my 19 grill. My IAT's are about 5° to 10° over ambient on the road.

Does it have the open air box (with a cone filter) on it already (from the factory)?
funny you ask that now... after 3 days of brain damage that I cause myself by over researching , I pulled the trigger on an intake. I went with the Legmaker/LMI. No, the non redeye has a sealed up box even though we have the redeye hood that uses the front hood scoop to direct air to the intake... big waste as it just forces air to the top of a sealed box lol

I was about to get the K&N as I thought I wanted one that sealed up to that intake port that leads to the hood scoop (like the factory redeye does), but then I drove my buddy's jailbreak/redeye with the LMI and oh my, it sounded so incredible I figured what the hec. the downside to the LMI (I think) is that since it's fully open, it also draws in air from the engine itself which is hot so even though in theory it's a "cold air intake", IAT will likely be higher than with the stock airbox. the reward for that is the beautiful magnified sound of the SC whine which in my back to back drive was at least 2 times as loud maybe more lol.

I don't really care about tenths of a second or more performance, I daily the car and it's plenty fast so to me the extra sound was my driving factor. Hope it gets here soon, ordered it last night.

see my answer above. lol. too late. I was actually looking at my IAT today and yesterday and since I live in one of the hottest/most humid cities on the planet (Miami) my IAT while stopped was already at about 155-160 and even while on the highway it never went below about 120-125. from what I hear from other people, this is abnormally high and my car shouldn't even run any more lol... I imagine with the LMI intake it could go up slightly but at this point what's the difference? it's already sweltering hot air, might as well get the sound was my thought process. hopefully it doesn't mess anything up but so far it was no issue on my buddy's 2 redeyes, both of which have had the LMI intake on for a while

Hellcat has a straight through design, similar to a glass pack. That's Challenger. Charger has a slight offset. Still... no restriction.

I installed 1794's, in my HC Charger. At first, was very happy. Couple of years later, not so much. They seem just as loud as original, but now, they have a nasty rasp, under heavy acceleration. Not a fan of rasp.

Really looking for a smooth, deep note, throughout the range, from zero to WOT. The Zoomers, on my 6.1 used to deliver this. So did Bassani. Bassani is out of the game. Imma have to hit up some car shows, to check out setups. Videos just don't work, for me.

Actually considering putting my original mufflers back on...

Yea I don’t like raspy sound either .. although I think the vibrants on my scat at 35k still sound pretty good for the most part.

Yea, I think I’ll install the lmi and leave stock exhaust , and call it a day . Hopefully the sc whine is enough sound to keep me occupied lol. And after all, stock on scat and or hellcat does sound pretty good to begin with

That LMI is amazing, on a Hellcat!!!

The whine, especially in sport mode, is pornographic.

Well worth the wait...
