Over the last month I have finished up installing a Hellcat Supercharger on my 2006 300c SRT8. I had the car tuned by Johan, and I am running the Smooth Boost electronic boost controller. The car has the original map sensor along with a hellcat throttle body installed.
The vehicle will drive fine as long as I do not turn the boost dial past half way. If I turn the dial to the 100% configuration and do WOT, the car will takeoff, then when it hits about 3k rpm and 3psi it will cut all power and almost freeze up until I remove my foot from the gas pedal. The ETC (lightning bolt) light will start flashing and continue to flash till I restart the car. After I restart the car, it will not hold an idle while stopped in drive. In most cases it ends with the car stalling out. If I reupload the tune to the car it will go back to working fine again.
My tuner was not super helpful, mainly just saying it is some sort of mechanical issue and that he could not tell what was causing the issue. The boost controller is wired to the apps signal #1 wire (brown, white). I am wondering if I should try wiring it to the throttle body. If you have any suggestions let me know.
