Yes and no. It's not a cover, it's the intake. Shagnum painted his. But your car is down while you're doing it.

Did they get it on? I don't remember ever seeing it, and can't remember who was trying. I'd like to see how that turned out.

I just taped it all off and painted it.. I painted my hemi orange it looks nice. I will try to take some pictures of the finished product.. I think I took some while painting.. Its amazing how much newspaper and tape I went through but it turned out awesome.
That is what I would do.. It cost me like 5 bucks.

You can always get vinyl also. Stop by a vinyl sign shop and you will be amazed by the choices, carbon (in dif colors even), chrome, satin, brushed aluminium, reflective heck even glow in the dark. Just lay the vinyl on it then take an exacto knife with a fresh blade. I just havent gotten off my butt to do this. I was also thinking of doing a rubbing of the letters, scan them and have a template so that you could take it to a vinyl maker and have it made perfect without cutting.

Thats what I did I just taped it off and painted it I painted the whole intake cover though. I was going to take it off then said crap it would just be easier to tape it and paint it. It was took about 30 mins. Looks good I got to get the rest of the engine painted before I post up pics though.

I've got a ....er.... list of paint work I will be getting done inside, outside and in the engine area, so I'll let the professional do the lettering for me as he's doing the other parts :)

Mines a little different than these painted ones. I actaully painted the entire black plastic Hemi Orange. I want to do my lettering black or dark grey but just have been lazy.. Anyway just wanted to let you know that you can tape off the black plastic if you take your time and make it look like it was done from the factory. I did get some high temp paint just make sure the heat wouldnt mess it up. Again I will try to get some pictures up tonight or something.

Yeah I just used like two whole newspapers and tons of tape. i taped the fenders, grill, underneath of the hood and all engine parts that I didnt want overspray on. If you take your time you can do it really good.. Mine took about 2 hours and looks really pro.. There is a post on the forum of another guy that did it and that is where I got the Idea.. you might search the forum for it. His already had pictures.
