Well I went out in the garage yesterday & started to take all the letters and door molding off. So after a fews beers and a few hrs rubbing all the glue marks off I had an ideal?? I know, beer and ideals(scary) anyway the molding that I removed off the rear door fit perfect on the inside door jam of the front door & the bigger piece of molding I cut down and used on the rear door jams. Being my car was silver, all the trim pieces were silver with a chrome strip, so color wise they match up with the interior. I showed the wife & she just thought that they were allready there, of course she wanted to know why I ripped it off the sides in the first place.. Might not be for everyone, but thought I would share. I like the way it looks plus it saved $300 some bucks instead of buying the Dodge ones. Sorry dont have digital camera to post pics right now.

I suppose you could also use them to stop door dings from the side of the garage. Just stick them on the wall where the door would hit it (after opening it). Just an idea.......

trim

MagnumSXT, ya I trimmed them down, but the ones off the rear door fit perfect on the front doors sill and did not need to cut, the 2 longer trim pieces I did cut down to fit in the back. Like I said before no digital camera, so if you cant use your melon & picture what something looks like without posting pics. then go find another thread with some big colorful pics.:blam: later!! Just thought would share the ideal, see if someone came up with another use..

It's funny, my girl actually mentioned the same idea to me about the door sills (which I thought was a great idea), but then I started thinking....if the problems with the mouldings on the outside of the door were lack of air flow that may cause bubbles and rust, wouldn't it do the same on the door sill? I mean I know water does sit on the door sill during rain or after washing the cars (temporarily), and you wouldn't be able to get all of the water out from the gap behind the mouldings.....I guess unless you put clear epoxy at each end of the mouldings to seal it, so there would be no entrapment. Maybe I just answered my own question....Lol!
