Has anyone tried to paint an r/t grille flat black? I got the honeycomb for it but i want to have the grille done in flat like it is on the daytona. Im asking because im getting mixed reviews on if primer and paint are gonna stick well to it. I'm gonna scuff it up and put a couple of coats of primer then shoot it will flat black im just wondering if anyone has gone this route before.

Just save your self some time and order the grill like I did...Plus it will turn out looking better...:wink:

I agree with ghostface... Dodge has actually been very reasonable with the pricing of the Daytona parts. Just buy the grille and install, save yourself the headache. I found that quite a few people want the chrome grille up here and I sold mine without a problem, got a little money back!
