Just saw a report that they are going to close all 30 factories for a month. I don't have a link or details, but wanted to get it out there.

That is so true, but most of the guys can use their vacation time to cover thier time off. Also, its better to be laid off for a month than for good.

OBTW, Think about the all the companies that this effects.

Manny,the employees may have been planning on using two weeks of vacation time,as that is thier normal closure this time of year,Chrysler just added two extra weeks onto it,but they are available to collect unemployment and some payout from the job bank

well, its not good but they ordinarily close for two weeks right about now. Its not a shutdown for a month. Its an extra two weeks added to a regular annual shutdown.

I just hope that they get the regulations and other b.s. worked out and do something to salvage the american car companies. I really don't want to have to buy a damn toyota/nissan in a couple years! I have 3 vehicles and they are all american made and that is what I like but might not have a choice in the future.
