Chrysler has announced that only a limited number of 2,194 sunshades will be available for the 2023 model year, which will be allocated based on sold orders and the date the order was received. This means that customers who want the sunshades but do not want the other features included in the Comfort Group Package will not be able to purchase them separately.

According to our dealer sources, the popular Comfort Group Package option for the Chrysler 300 sedan has been updated for the 2023 model year. However, due to limited availability, the package will no longer include the power back sunshade option, which was a favorite among customers.

Your wish may come true if Chrysler catches up with technology, a company called Gentex injected an extra layer in the glass making the windows darker by adjustable voltage , push a button to eliminate the need for a physical up and down plastic shades. This is the same technology used for years in dimming rear view mirrors, Boeing Dreamliner has electronic dimmable windows, and Mercedes has it for their dimmable sunroofs.

To state the obvious, new 300C cars will be unaffected as H Kardon does not allow for the shade.

I liked the shade in my previous 300s, but my son would CONSTANTLY hit the button with his feet back there and it drove me bat**** crazy.

That explains why my SRT8 doesn't have the shade then. Wasn't obvious to me. I learn new things every day.
