No one has received there kits on here to the best of my knowledge. I have had the mule kit for quite some time and they installed a full on production kit on a local customers car already. IT is a Charger.. I dont know if he is on Charger forums or not... Might be cause he had some of the regular mods done to his car when it came in... Blastin Bob's pipes , NOESP mod and stuff like that.

Just curious, but are the makers of this turbo kit vendors here? If so, then why haven't we heard from them directly? It seems that only people who know them or are testing them are the ones posting here. Any input from the creators themselves? Would be nice to have a technical update to satisfy everybody rather than having it run amuck. Seems this thread is steadily going south with he said / she said talk.

AmberR/T, since you're testing for them, can ya get one of them to chime in and give us some reasoning as to why it's taking so long?

I will ask "icicleboy" to post in here. He has been very busy on the home front as of late with a small addition to the family due very soon. I can tell you that he is still working on the kit. I will let him inform you all

All the kits are produced and sitting in his warehouse. There is something holding him up still. But I will let him inform you all.

I hear you. But Kevin has been keeping me up to date with the kit progress. I have simply chosen to keep quiet until I have the complete turbo kit in hand. There have been some changes similar to what the CIS guys have encountered. In the meantime, I'm trying to be patient with this guy :blam:. I'm hoping to start cranking with with this guy sometime soon :racing:.

Turbo boost KITT!!!

So the Cartuning turbo was finally delivered today. UPS only lost and misrouted it 3 or 4 times over 29 days. In any case, it is finally here.

Now for some details. Cartuning originally designed this kit using the Unichip controller, Fuel pressure regulator, etc. This setup worked fine on the 05 models. But the 06 models had minor issues with the torque converter. Long story short: Preditor is now available and it allows simplified installation, more control, and resolves the problems with the torque converter. At least, that is my understanding of it... As it stands now, I have the kit but waiting for Preditor to provide Cartuning the tuner software. After that, I can install the kit and program the PCM.

I intend to include a full pictorial of the installation. So anyone interested can review it and decide if it is a good project to tackle.

Well I am extremely happy for you. It looks pretty good.

Can't wait til you get it installed and hear how this kit is.

:)
I see that you were online instead of at Rick and Ronnies Meet and Greet. I was hoping to show you guys some of the kit.

In any case, the fit and finish is phenomenal. No grease left inside the exhaust from the mandrel bending. No welding splatter or burrs at all. The tubing is all thermal coated. This is night a day difference when compared to the Vortech kit on my Mustang.

so I take it that Kevin's gonna become a CMR tuner as well? Good news. Are they sure that the stock MAP sensor can read boost? I would think they need to send a different map sensor.. Apparently the stock PCM can read boost but doesn't have a fuel map to correspond with it yet.. and the map sensor likely only reads vacuum.. even a 1 bar (14psi) map sensor would do the trick..

This is gonna be really sweet if you can do all this without the need for a piggyback!

Have you given any thought to doing some methanol injection to bring down the temps? You may want to take a look at the snow performance boost cooler.. probably just a stage 1 as you can't do high boost on these engines..

Let us know every step of the way.. this is interesting to a bunch of us.. :)

You're right on. The PCM is already coded for boost. I can only speculate why. The stock sensor does not sense boost. So it will get replaced. Kevin was researching it at the time we spoke. He will probably replace it with one from a neon srt4.

Methanol injection... Look at the lower right of the picture. It's included. I should point out that the car is tuned safely to work even without the methanol.

Yeah I was at the dealer today getting some little stuff done and couldn't make it down there...

I am glad to hear about your kit...

Do you have a timeline when you might have it done???
My timeline is ASAP. I really don't know when the tuning will be finished until Kevin has the software in his hands. I'm just taking alot of :chill: pills and hanging in there.

Sure it can be tuned safely, but if you include the methanol injection to prevent detonation, you can likely advance the timing a bit more and get more power without increasing the risk of doing so... I think the PCM is the same that is used in the SRT4's hence the code and fuel maps for boost..

I guess I didn't see it as I was looking for the big 7qt jug you will have to stash under the hood somewhere.. unless you are going to tap right into the windshield washer jug that is already there and run winter washer fluid all the time.
